APRIL FOOLS

My Dad was a teacher. He would sit at the kitchen table and grade papers. My Mom was very groggy in the morning. She would shuffle out to the kitchen and make coffee. The table would be covered with papers. One April Fool's day, Mom did her thing and poured her coffee and set the cup on the table. She then shuffled to the bathroom. My Dad pulled a rubber worm out of his pocket and put it in the handle of the coffee cup. Mom shuffled out of the bathroom and sat down at the table. She grabbed her coffee and the worm and the coffee cup flew, along with the coffee, all over Dad's papers. He really couldn't say anything because it was his fault. I will always remember that.
